Las Vegas

I walk Las Vegas streets through heat and rain
Invisible to Tourist seeking aces
Oblivious to loneliness and pain

She tells herself that I am just insane
And looks at me with scorn upon her faces
I walk Las Vegas streets through heat and rain

Her fear of me; it never seems to wane
No matter neon lights, exotic places
Oblivious to loneliness and pain

Compassion isn’t something she can feign
She sees me as a thing she usually maces
I walk Las Vegas streets through heat and rain

Tenderness is lost in the refrain
Of melodies of hearts with frantic paces
Oblivious to loneliness and pain

Equanimity is ever on the wane
Equality applies to higher races
I walk Las Vegas streets through heat and rain
Oblivious to loneliness and pain
