A favorite photo of my Aunt Bootsie, my mother’s sister. I love these old 50’s glam shots. The girl’s seemed so much older than they were they way they photographed them back then.
Our shelves from our townhouse on 15 Mile Road in Clinton Township, Michigan. My mom and I used to have a lot of fun finding things at flea markets and rearranging these shelves. The shelves were built by the woman who lived in the townhouse before we did. I’ve seen photos of the interior of this townhouse from when it changed hands a few years back and these shelves no longer exist.
Snapped this photo when I swung through Florida in 1988 to visit my grandparents. I was on my way from Michigan to California to attend Cal State Fullerton. They were selling boiled peanuts all over the place. Boiled peanuts are actually delicious. I asked this girl to pose for a picture. Hard to believe she’s almost thirty years older now, too.
